Actually I am not quite sure of the origin of the word "Stick Car". While there is a possibility that the root word "stick car" came from an ancient society known for racing their chariots that were made from long branches of a hemiwood tree that was very light weight and resistant to the foes arrows in battle, it is more widely held that the word "Stick Car Racer" was adopted for use in modern times when an un-named spectator on this site used the word "stick car" in describing an open wheeled dragster with a long frame. The use of the descriptive term seemed fitting to me, so I adopted the name.
Thanks for the question.

My old block is at a machine shop in Fort Worth to be repaired. My old crank was cracked. I have a crank and new rotating assembly that would make a 540ci but I am holding out for the new crank for the all new 526ci Brad block. The new Alan Johnson Stage 2 fuel heads are here and ready to go. Still waiting on a crankshaft. Bryant was backlogged 6-8 weeks when I ordered it. Arias piston are here. The extra set of Hussey rods have not made it here. Hussey forged rods take weeks to get, too. The new cam is here. Waiting on the crankshaft more than anything else.
Looking forward to the new higher compression motor.
My old motor was only 8.5 to one compression. The new one is 12.4 to one. With the 40 pounds of boost my blower puts out, the new engine should produce the horsepower a motor like this is known to make. Still looking for sub-one second 60 foots and high 3.90's in the 1/8. I still plan on a 210mph pass or two and then concentrate on the 1/8 mile. Looking forward to the new season!!

Actually, on the subject of where the nickname "Stick Car Racer" came about, I looked back at the archives for this site and found the original post dated Nov 4, 2010 evidencing the origin of the subject term. The documentary evidence will further produce unrefutable fact to the case as seen in the continuing dialog showing that said spectator continued to use this term as an explaination as to his personal thought on said matter. Hence, in an aforementioned post by myself, I include this term as a descriptor of who I am as it relates to this site.
OK, back to the real world and all BS aside, I thought the nickname was fitting so I started using it. Plain and simple.

Oh no, I'd never make a lawyer. A person has to have a certain mindset for that occupation. I am not that kinda guy. I'd rather spend my mental energy on trying to go fast than to stand in a courtroom and argue a case.
Rods got here today. Still waiting on the crankshaft to get here. Opening day is beginning to look doubtful. Still looking for 210+!!
