The sound of the rising waves is overcome by the decibles of a large and powerful engine. He draws deep on his cigarette, letting the smoke jet from his lungs as he turned to see a truck maneuver into one of the vacant spaces. It seemed he wasn't the only one with an interest to sieze what little dry weather was left in the day.

It wouldn't be long now before he would have to make the drive to to the town he hadn't seen in over seven years. He doubted his 'homecoming' would be received well....he hadn't exactly been a model citizen, after all. And Sha...oh, how he must hate him. He expected her to...hoped she did, even. He'd gone and left her with nothing but the burning wreckage of a few hundred cars and a son to raise. He was no better than any other low life skipping out fatherly duties and child support. He was an asshole...always had been. He just wished he had never been one to her...and the son they shared.

He tossed his smoked butt into the sand. He heard footsteps and turned again, seeing a young man and a canine in the distance. His attention shifted to the storm again as he readied himself for the tasks ahead.|
