Layath and Kalya walked into the grounds of the Hatching Sands, and Kalya grabbed some of the still-hot sand from the ground of the Hatching room, and piled it around her unhatched blue egg, setting it on the ground next to her slippers so that it wouldn't dirty up the pretty dress she'd found.

Kalya waved over her friends, Channa, Wessae (if she still wasn't asleep with her queen), Caen and Maisath, and A'rak and Kadoth. Kalya had grabbed some small fish filets from the Table on her way here, to feed Caeruleus when he hatched.
