Subject: Why a pendulum-like hand and arm swing is no good for NG!

Lets start by doing a little drill Ernest Jones had all of his students do, hold the club in the thumb and forefinger of your trail hand out about waist height.

Now lets swing the club back and forth till a pendulum motion is achieved to and fro.

Once you have mastered that take the club in both hands in a neutral vardon grip and make the same short to and fro pendulum like swing, notice how the club face of your club squares up with no problem at the bottom of the swing arc?

Now take the club again in your hands, except this time with a NG, HSS, IMA, BGG or LPG grip with the strong trail palm grip.

Do the same pendulum like motion, notice somthing? Yes that's the clubface closing mucho fasto in the downswing, causing what would be a major league hook if you had a ball in front of you!

That dear folks, is why NG's new hand and arm pendulum swing is mechanically a disaster
