Subject: Trailing shoulder leading the downswing
In reply to: ezsteve 's message, "The swing's initiator" on 10:10:03 04/10/01 Tue

Is indeed one of about three different downswing motions that could be considered a "Pusher's" stroke. The other two are pushing arms and hands directly away from your right shoulder, or concentrating on taking your right hand and throwing it down at the ball.

All of these will work properly if the motion is initially downward, not rotational.

The dropping of the right shoulder forces your body to brace itself by making the hips slide laterally to the left, the right elbow drops into the slot, the head remains over the right knee, and the clubhead lags until the hands reach the bottom of the swing arc.

It is really simple, isn't it?
