If we worked hard to attract these kinds of kids....oh wait, I've been told that it isn't possible. It is very difficult to have a student /athlete choose FU over a scholarship offer.. A close friend of mine is a PL Head Coach.. they target low income student/athletes, this way they aid is very similar to a scholly.. I hope FU goes to scholarship football...Why not field a better team, receive more exposure in A-10 and get a chance to play a 1-A each year.. If just having scholarships were the answer, there would be no losing teams, would there? College football is all about recruiting. Our aid package plus our reputation will bring most kids here. Will we lose a few? Sure. You'll lose kids even with scholarships. There are a lot of priorities (read facilities) that I would rather take care of first.
