This is a problem but is it the VA's or yours? Having had tags removed by VA myself it can be frustrating if you let it get to you. First off I waited til I saw my doc on reg, appointment. My tags were on my neck and only hurt when I caught them on a necklace. Doc said I needed to go to dermatology and set me up with an appointment for them six weeks later. Then the doc there snipped them off with scissors band aided them and sent me on my way. The next problem tag I noticed and had removed was with my current civilian doc. Removed right then and there in his office. So what I am saying is if you get your annual pushed up you may get scheduled out to a different clinic for the tags anyway at the VA. Tags are an irritant more than a threatening skin condition to most people. Why would you need your reg Doc to snip them off? Screening is why I don't go to VA anymore.
