Thanks for that reminder Raymond. As it happens today is International Atheist Day. We must remember that some 20% to 30% who did not return were atheists. This is something to remember in all remembrances for Vietnam and Thailand Veterans. It is important that the language, icons and symbols used in any remembrance ceremonies or activities should reflect this reality. We show respect for the diversity of beliefs held by Veterans by not characterizing them all as believers as has been the regular practice in past times.
