Subject: MEDICAL UPDATE ON LIFE MEMBER JOHN RISSE

Hello to all.

Carolyn Risse contacted me this morning to report that John had a very successful hip replacement surgery for his left hip yesterday. He has done so well that they are considering releasing him today if the physical therapist agrees. He had the surgery at the University of Minnesota. They will remain in the Minnesota area for rehab and assistance from their children.

John is Life Member #346 and was a K9 Handler at Pleiku in 65-66 as part of Top Dog 45, the first Air Force dog handlers in Vietnam. He received the Bronze Star w/V and his dog, DUKE 645F was wounded during an attack at Pleiku. Cards, prayers and comments would be sincerely appreciated.

John is a brother and fine friend who was my radiation buddy when we were both treated for Agent Orange related prostate cancer in 2016. Please keep him and his wife, Carolyn, in your thoughts and prayers.

Steve
