J.O., I could not find the original post you referred to, but I thought I would reply with the little I know.

I was with the 3rd SPS at Bien Hoa from May 69 to April 70. I don't recall the exact date, but in mid 1969 I was asked if I wanted to volunteer for that Embassy duty. Myself and one other Sgt volunteered. As it ended up they picked the other Sgt because he had one month time in grade on me. I remember when he returned at the end of the six-month TDY, he told about the assignment and the private villa they lived in. The Sgt who got the assignment from Bien Hoa was Ernest Canady. I am not sure if that will help with anything you are looking for. Unfortunately, I have no contact information for Ernest. There is a Canady listed as a VSPA member who was stationed at Bien Hoa, but the first name is different, so I don't know if it is the same person. Hopefully, this helps. I would also like to see the original post because it relates to the time I was in Vietnam.
