Few reunions ago Steve told me, "He was mad at me, I asked why"?
It seems our former 12th APS commander was reassigned to his base in Calif in mid 1966. He started to play same war games with them, just as he had did in Nam. I had three days of training before being shipped to Nam. Plus he relief of command for doing illegal activities and prompted to Light Bird.
After Steve tole me the story. We had great laugh together.
Plus Steve had pictures of Cam Rahn Bay at one reunion with show how base changed over life time of base.
God Bless Steve all Welcome to heaven.
