Combat Veteran, I guess it depends on who you ask.
I was sent to a PTSD rap session by the Va a few years ago, and everyone there was asked to give thier name and branch, when it came around to me I stated my name and USAF, one of the marines in the group stood up and said "I thought this was only for combat vets, you don't belong here" I stood up and said I think your right I do not belong here and left and have not had any thing to do with veterans activities since. I joined the VSPA because I figured I wouldn't have to explain what we did in Vietnam. Now when the topic of vietnam comes up in the VA waiting room I just keep quite, tired of trying to explain, or being humilitated in front of other vets. Just my experience, hope yours is more pleaseant.
