Subject: Recovering at Home

I am recovering from a radical prostatectomy, performed on Thursday. I have a lot of pain, but I am trying to stay away from the pain medications (Percocet). My wife no longer drives, due to her vision, so it is important that I be able to drive, as soon as possible. Obviously, the Doctors won't approve of me driving, if I am taking Percocet.
I am also having trouble with the catheter. The "Home" bag does OK but the "Leg" bag causes a lot of leakage from the catheter insertion point. Hopefully, I will have the catheter removed in 2 more days. After that, it will be pads or incontinence underwear (aka Depends) for a couple of months.
I know many of you have dealt with Prostate removal and have experienced some of the same things, as I am now experiencing. If you have any suggestions, I would love to have them.
On a funny note, my Surgeon, going through his checklist, told me not to have sex, until after the catheter was removed. Duh!
