Jim, it stands for Individual Unemployability award, I'm at the 80% total and permanently disabled rating plus I also get a 20% IU rating as well because of my disabilities I could no longer work. So each month I get paid at the 100% rate. If I would lose that 20% rating, it would absolutely hurt us financially. I just sent my Senator and Congressman a long letter expressing my concerns over this issue and sited several others areas where they could look to get those funds that they are looking to take from us. Like the millions they spend each year studying the mating habits of bugs and such other stupid things they waste money on.
