The BB has tamed down and the guys with strong opinions who used to keep the pot boiling like Pat Dunne, Pat Houseworth, Sam, Terry, Ken, don't post anymore, in part, because some of the posts became too personal, or censured or banned to the FFZ. Any mention of politics, immigration, or even who wore the first beret. Some of the exchanges between some of the guys would have you laughing like between Hawk and Zeke. Hawk would talk about the wearer of a beret having to have a certain panache or air of dignity and Zeke would counter with something like putting a propeller on top. Whenever Ken expressed his views on religion the thread was good for a page. At some point, I think camaraderie was replaced with personal insults rather than an opposing opinion. Pros and cons on Pres Trump and Mueller, Schiff, Pelosi et al, caravan trains from Guatamala. One key element is the BB is the glue that keeps VSPA together. Choosing topics and permitting language that will not cause the Feds to shut it down is a delicate balance. However, these days, the "F" word and equally offensive language is used so often on TV, you have to wonder if there is any censorship. Maybe sending out a message to the members who have dropped off the BB and asking for an update on their lives for the last year or so might generate some interest.
