Subject: DENNIS DAVIS

Welcome Dennis Davis & wife Nancy. He’s a new life member & long lost SP brother that served concurrently with me in Panama & Binh Thuy RVN. He on heavy weapons (Fire Fly) & me on towers for the most part. We just had our long overdue reunion here in Myrtle Beach & it was really special. We always wondered what ever became of each other and by chance, on a Panama Canal Cruise a VSPA member (Steve Gattis?) asked him about his service & turned him on to our brotherhood. Like many of those we’ve wondered about over these 50 or those years, sorrow, circumstances & the will to focus on the positive, kept Dennis away. His younger brother, KIA only two weeks in country, after he himself had just returned to the world & his lDad, a fireman, had passed two years before his USAF enlistment. But, here we are 50 years & then some, celebrating our own camaraderie, and proudly reminding the general public that war is hell & yes only the few serve and we’re forever joined. Dennis & Nancy (from Leominster Mass.) will be attending their first reunion in Tucson. Please welcome them & show them how we take care of our own.
