Ken, thanks for the compliments. The flag story is one that I have not told in many years. Although I can no longer remember the names of all the players, it really did occur and the Thundering Third was well represented that day.

Regarding the MPC story, I started out just with the images of Series 681, which was the series used most of the time I was there in 69-70. During the early proofreading process, Steve Gattis reminded me of an earlier series he remembered from his tour in 68-69. I then decided that I should go back and include each series that was used during the Vietnam War. So, every one of us should remember using one or two of the MPC series depending on when they served. It is amazing what some of those certificates are going for in the currency collection market today. Would be fun to have, but I am not going to pay some of the prices I have seen.
