Wanda and family, for myself Jackie's illness and consequent death is a surprise because I had no idea he was that ill. Jackie was not the type of man who would share that knowledge with everyone, he was a private person. I'm sure that has not been the same for all of you, it's sad and difficult to watch someone you love go through this process, especially cancer. Jackie gave much to us all , teaching us through his poems and writtings and postings and emails. I consider him a friend and proud of the fact. Please accept my heart felt condolences. I have from time to time with progressing age thought about death, for me if it was said, "he was a good man" would be sufficient. Jackie was just that a good man and a gentleman. He will be remembered as a friend, warrior and gentleman, Rest in Peace my Brother!
