Last night 53 years ago I stayed in a hotel in Beckley West Virginia. This morning 53 years ago I was sworn in to the United States Air Force. From Beckley I was bused to Charleston W Va were I boarded a 2 engine prop Piedmont airways plane. From there I was flown to Cincinnati Oh. It was there that I had my first ride on a jet airplane. Later that evening I landed in Amarillo Texas. Bused from the airport to Amarillo AFB for basic training. This led to a 8 years ride that I would not change for anything. Jack
