Subject: VSPA Member Needing Prayers

Yesterday, I received a call from Kathy Pierson about our Brother Dave. He had emergency surgery yesterday due to a spinal infection that was placing him in real jeopardy. The surgerons did a masterful, dangerous procedure on his back. They had to remove some bone to safely get to the infection. He was having problems using his legs and this will hlep relieve that issue. He is in ICU at a hospital in Reno, NV. They were unable to safely remove all of the infection; however, he is receving large doses of antibotics to kill the remainder. I was able to talk with him last night and he is in good spirits and is fighting hard to get healthy again. Please keep Kathy and Dave in your prayers for a full and quick recovery.
