Monty Moore, LM 500, and his wife Cathy, were both Air Force SP Sgts. and K-9 handlers. I cannot say what a blessing their VSPA K-9 pages have been for decades.

It seems eons ago that I received an email from Monty saying he was resigning from VSPA because K-9 was not properly represented at VSPA. That was true because the task for assembling a literally new website for AF Sentry Dogs, bases and squadrons was tremendous at that time--especially as VSPA pages were underdevelopment (as they have been for nearly 30 years). Monty mentioned that he would just focus on keeping his own K-9 website up to date. [Say what...?] I didn't know Monty had an AP/SP K-9 website, so I checked it out--outstanding-- and offered Monty an option to house his K-9 website under the umbrella of VSPA.com, and we would pay all costs, and reimbursements for his apps (which he later said he would take care of). At first, Monty was reluctant to move the K-9 site to VSPA, fearing losing control. I told him the only condition would be that he become the 'VSPA K-9 Webmaster' with full control for updating/editing/revising the K-9 pages, and he agreed, including Cathy as his K-9 Webmaster Assistant. The rest is history, with the Number One AP/SP K-9 webpages for Vietnam and Thailand during the war years.

When Monty recently emailed that his could no longer handle the VSPA K-9 webpages, due to health. I understood how health issues are creeping up on all of us. I didn't know he would soon stand the final Guardmount.

Monty's webpages are invaluable to VSPA, and we will continue his pages as he coded them, as long as there is a VSPA.

Monty...you already are missed, and I pray the Lord rests your soul and blesses Cathy and your loved ones forever.
