Subject: Computer/Phone TIP:

Gents,

Computer/Phone TIP:
Have you ever typed something on your phone in Text, Notes Messages, or New Contacts, that was important, and after hanging up you found your thumb was gleefully depressing the Enter KEY and erased the phone number? and there was no way to retrieve it! Been there, Done that. So I researched the web and here's the How-to Retrieve the deleted phone data:

HOW TO UNDELETE TEXT ON YOUR SMART PHONE IMMEDIATELY AFTER AN ERROR! DON’T DO ANYTHING AFTER THE ERROR BEFORE TRYING THE BELOW!

To undelete typed text on a newer phone, such as the iPhone 17, immediately after an error, by "shaking the device" and tap "Undo" in the pop-up, or tap with "three fingers" to reveal undo/redo options.

For deleted messages, check the "Recently Deleted" folder within 30 days in the Messages app to restore them.

• Methods for Recovering Typed Text or Messages:
• Shake to Undo: Immediately after accidentally deleting text (e.g., in Notes, Mail), shake the iPhone 17 and select "Undo" to restore it.
• Three-Finger Gesture: Tap the screen with three fingers to reveal the menu, then select the "Undo" arrow (left arrow).
• Recover Messages (30-Day Limit):
• Open the Messages app.
• Tap Filters (top left) or Edit.
• Select Show Recently Deleted.
• Select the conversations and tap Recover.

It works.
