You must remember, it was the ROLLING STONES. The biggest band in Europe at the time. For Brian to have not gone on the Euro tour would have been professional suicide for the band. Brian was the main draw in those days and it was imperative he accompany the tour. That said, he was grumpy, uncommunicative, and in his own words, a bitch. He was furious at Keith, but you must understand Keith avoided him and that upset Brian as much as anything else. Im not sure Brian was the most forgiving man around, but its my feeling that at that point he still felt a kinship with Keith over the music, and he compartmentalised so he was able to separate Keith the musician from Keith the bastard who stole his girl even though deep inside he knew Anita orchestrated the split. Keith was just her willing victim. Keith came to know Anita better later, but somehow I dont see Keith as being the type to admit it to Brian. Sagittarians are very much the knight in shining armor type, and if Keith thought he rescued Anita, then so be it. That said, in time Brian was well able to set his feelings for Anita aside and move on. He knew her, but she was the first girl he actually really loved, so of course thats going to remain. Human nature after all.
Im sorry Ive been slow to respond, but I had to go out of town to a funeral. A friends Dad lost his battle with a brain tumor. Sad, but a lovely service.
