The Phrase and You!
Kudos for the imaginative idea and the attempt to make the inevitable “LFNYISN” fresh and interesting.
“Christopher Walken can’t even do ‘Walken’ anymore.” I don’t even know if this is true, it just sounded funny.
Tangent: Pepper spray commercials – I have NEVER seen a pepper spray commercial. And I very rarely see pepper spray sold, either. It’s something I’ve been meaning to acquire as a single young woman with a bad tendency to walk alone, often at night. Another problem is you can’t fly with it, not even in your carry-on luggage.
Anyway…
I like the concept a lot, and the end is pretty good. In general, could have been better executed.
Finally: Coma? What?

Monologue
Er…a little gratuitous for me. Good call on Spacey singing, though.

Hot Pockets
Okay. Quite silly.

The People’s Court
Kevin Spacey as the Trix rabbit…just, wow. Would be pretty funny if he committed to it.
Surgeries to keep from going hungry? I think the audience would be distracted by trying to figure out how that would work. (Maybe just me…)
In general, some of it is quite good, and some of it doesn’t quite work. I can’t say I’m much a fan of the more crass parts, either.

School Board Hearings
Are we talking about Westchester County, NY? If so, the New Yorkers will really appreciate that. (Or pretty much anyone in the area…Westchester has a bit of a reputation.)
Thank you for acknowledging that teaching salaries are ridiculous. Anyway, that reference is the kind of thing that you laugh at and then think, “…Oh…”
“I’m not a comedian…” nice self-reflexive crack, those don’t always work. (Perhaps I’m misusing “self-reflexive” there…you know what I mean…)
I didn’t think it worked to have Mr. Porter talking about the son’s corpse after the whole thing with Miss Silverstein, and also because we don’t yet know he’s an orgo teacher. (That is the proper slang for organic chem these days, isn’t it?)
I also don’t think Horatio is a good fit for this role, but as you may have noticed I’m not a big fan of Horatio.
Also, Andy Samberg is a weird choice. He’s not at the point where he makes a convincing older/serious person.
In general, good! Good idea and carefully executed.

The Mannequin
Good. Simple concept, and I think Samberg would do a great job with this. One clarifying question, though; when we’re cutting back to shots of the mannequin, is it always the same shot (in the store) or is it actually appearing in the different locations?

Answering Machine
Casting Note: Um…who plays George?
I like the dickering over the chart colors, etc.
Voicemail: Dunno about you, but I have to record a message for my voicemail. The difference with voicemail is that there is no physical machine in your house.
Overall, good. Although the thing with the female coworker was kind of predictable. I mean, come on, you’d think something’s up if someone volunteers to track down an AWOL coworker.
