Brokeback Mountain jokes have absolutely been done to death. I definitely recall saying to someone, "If I hear one more Brokeback Mountain joke on late night television..."

As for Cheney, as Jon Stewart and Ed Helms pointed out, that story was just great by itself. Admittedly, I was considering doing a parody of the guy's apology (???) But yeah, no re-enactments are necessary.

The Danish cartoon isn't really fresh material, especially since the stupid thing was printed last November or something. I think Colbert's "cartoon" making fun of Danish culture was the one good bit I've seen on that one.

I agree wholeheartedly with toning down the celebrity stuff. The real SNL already overdoes that.

When I write WU jokes I usually just go to the MSNBC page and see what's there and if I can think of a joke for any of it. They have an "Odd Stories" sort of section somewhere, and some of those stories are fun.

And take advantage of a female host! ...I mean, having a woman who isn't Amy, Tina, Rachel, or Maya on the show.
