Subject: The Super Awesome WU Review... NOW WITH KUNG FU GRIP!
In reply to: Patrick Lonergan 's message, "REVIEWS: Matt Dillon 03/11/06" on 10:26:59 03/13/06 Mon

Was that too long of a title? Anyways had some time and thought I’d review the Weekend Update. Because I did promise I would review one of these joke by joke. BTW, thank you, I think that was my best comeback about the Oscars ever. And from now on there will be only 1 joke of the week. So there’s a lot at stake. There’s no sharing of the glory, its one joke one title!

Dubai Ports: The punchline was a bit of a letdown. Jews are the businessguys, the gag gets kinda old.
Forbes: Seemed really dumb, but yet I was laughing. A rare feat.
Dana Reeves Death: Yeah... if this was on air, expect boos. But I’m cool with it and it was pretty good one.
Bird Flu: The “is that too vague of a reference?” line worked the first time, now the punch has worn off.
Teenagers: This was pretty funny, though a bit predictable.
Abu Gharib: Punchline was a let down.
Monks: Eh in the middle. Pretty simple joke with a bland punchline.
Mike Brown Drunk: Couple of the random drunk lines were good, but the rest took over the regular Mike Brown jokes we would have expected. Plus I can’t see Parnell pulling this off. Hader or Sudeikis more likely.
Hobo Weekly: The spirit of Norm McDonald lives in this joke, not bad.
French Teacher: Solid joke. The random reference was good.
Funny Headline: This was alright, their switch of voice tone was a nice touch.
Neurosurgery: This was pretty simple as well, but still hilarious
Ardal McGuire: I PUKED. I don’t know, the overkill of the puke was a bit much not as funny as I hoped it would be. But the part about dry humping an old lady and partying in the church definitely was worth a good a laugh. So overall, it was pretty good.
Former Nurse: This was the joke of the week so congratulations
Black White: Heh not bad.
Last Comic Floating: Hurricane Floating jokes are pretty stale in my book.
Yanni: Who is this Yanni guy... is he the new John Tesh? The joke was flat by the way.
Scientology: Tom Cruise is crazy? REALLY I HAD NO IDEA!Donald Trump: Ok, so there was no Apprentice stale plugging. Actually the premises for this piece was alright. But it could have used more development, since it was too short. Have Trump rant about different guys whose daughters are bang worthy, instead of just mentioning Bush and Kerry, go into detail. And maybe go for obscure fathers and daughters. So idea was okay, but development and crafting would have really tweaked it up.
