This week's episode was written by four people. I guess nobody felt like writing for Depp. Let's how this show went.

Willy Wonka Comes To SNL: Started off pretty good with Charlie (perfectly casted for Amy Poehler) getting the ticket and running through 30 Rockefeller Center. But everything else seemed too dark and just not right. Molesting Charlie in the elevator? Throwing him off the roof? Lorne Michaels as Grandpa Joe????!!!! Still a great idea for the cold opening, but way too much controversial dialogue. Oompa Loompa song was very creative. I would probably give it more credit if you didn't write another segment with another pedophile.

Monologue: I compliment anybody who actually keeps the monologue with the host all by himself. I have a ton of respect for the show at all times, though, and really don't like horrible references to it. No matter how bad it is. Still, a great and original idea of the strange Johnny Depp having tattoo issues.

The Men's Room: Spastic sketch that had a good idea at first, with the normal man getting a talking-to from the homophobe. It just sort of got all crazy to me. The bathroom attendant is truly absurd. I do, however, love the concept of your sketch, in which the unlucky straight man has to deal with problem after problem; this is one of my favorite scenarios for sketch writing.

30 Days: Excellent segment. Would be great if this was filmed, as it wouldn't work out live. Everything about this is incredible. When MJR mentioned it in live chat, I knew it was a great formula. Anything from this sketch is utterly hysterical: Bush thinking Spurlock is Jeff Foxworthy, him not being able to get a job at Taco Bell, meeting up with a hooker and pimp that look like Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell respectively, the President becoming a hooker, finding out that the whole debacle lasted only 17 hours, the "National Lampoon Animal House" look in to the future, and the commercial kicker for trainwreck film "Kangaroo Jack." Innovative and hilarious.

A Real Celebrity Moment: Yeesh! Something unsettling about Paris Hilton making out with Sesame Street puppets. I'm not sure if Elmo would ask Hilton if "the curtains match the carpet."

All in all, a great effort by the handful of writers for this episode. I would love to hear what other people thought of this particular show. I hope I'm not the only guy reviewing, because I'm terrible at them, and I'm annoying everybody by repeating it.
