I want to thank Jim Bevan and Prateek Srivastava for writing reviews all this summer. I truly never gave it much thought as to why they wanted more reviews, until I realized that you (and mostly only you) had written critiques for every episode! I, ever since I've been writing for SNY, have urged people to review, since I'm truly bad at it, and would really like more input on my sketches as well as the many of you who want the same. I apologize for being tardy in writing these, as I am a procrastinator by heart. I just wish outsiders, or the other very few writers that wrote this summer would give their input to the episodes as well, and hopefully, this season will have more reviews.

SUMMER ON THE ROAD: Stupendous cold opening. This could definitely show up on the real SNL. Everything was so perfectly executed, what with the filmed shots coinciding with the live event. Great stuff, Prateek.

MONOLOGUE: Okay monologue. I enjoyed your criticism of way-too-many gay stereotype sketches in the past couple of seasons (especially this one) but I feel that an excessive amount of references to the show itself can be a bit distracting to SNY's writing and not SNL's writing. Loved the reading from a letter idea, though, and Jim Breuer at the end was cool.

COP PATROL: Idea that caught my attention. I didn't get the explanation for arresting him after making an excuse to get Taco Bell, but everything was acceptable. I loved the last minute of the sketch with the two laughing, and the "next time on Cop Patrol" stuff, with the car and everything. Sorry for the incohorent critique, but not much else to say.

BITTER REGRETS: Great story that reminded me of the Buckwell's Follies sketch from Alec Baldwin/Tori Amos. This took it a step further with different people explaining their faults and mistakes that put them into the bar. The story by the barfly stole the skit.

REAL CELEBRITY MOMENT: Kool-Aid abortion!? Who would have thought we would hear those words together? It was actually a promising idea, but it ended way too quickly, like he's there, and he wants to party, but that's it.

SAFETY: Normal scenario with over-protective wife nagging her husband to be safer (literally doing nothing) ends with a fantastic climax of a meteor hitting the house. Truly remarkable sketch that caught my attention with the wife's ridiculous wishes, as the story intrigued me all the way up to a surprise ending.

CASUAL CONVERSATION: Has-beens Billy Dee Williams and Mark Hamill talk about issues that happened during the Star Wars trilogy, such as interracial romance and incest. Again, it could've been a lot longer, but you got your point across with an intriguing chat by actors who haven't done much in the past twenty-five years.
