This is not to start some sort of ridiculous "I was right at the time" argument thing. Just to say that I understand, accept and consider your constructive criticisms and to explain what I was thinking at the time of writing.

These kids are in their own world and are very serious about it, the DJ and the station itself are also in a detached sense of reality and very serious about it. Their paths crossing results in the acceptance of the DJ by the two kids because they realize that he two is outside of any sort of "normal" reality and the three characters identify with one another.

It could very well be this simply doesn't work as portrayed or for some readers/viewers. Better luck next time...if there is a next time.
