All right, major WU submissions!

Turkey feces- Seems like you had several good ideas and smushed them all into one joke. It’s better to find one really good joke, or at least not have followup that contradicts the first joke.

Casino tape- I’m sure I would find this funny if I knew what voyeuristic meant or if I knew anything about Atlantic City. Probably would work on a mostly New Yorker audience.

Confronting Social Security- Okay.

Columbians- Good, although somewhat predictable.

“You'd think people would know that…”- Know what? Don’t lose the audience. But once we find out what the topic is, it’s solid.

Deficit- Nope, that’s been done before. If he really talked about “buying dollars” (which may just be an economic term I don’t understand) I think a punchline that was related to the joke would be possible.

Air ball- Good, although clarification on what “people responsible for the invasion” means exactly might be good.

Wallet- I’m not sure what you mean that the shot “widens.” Does that mean they zoom out and Tina is doing this at the WU desk? Anyway, I think one more line besides “yeah, we did it” from Tina or Amy would have done it.

Jenna Bush- Okay, but still predictable.

Donny Bell- Nice! Well constructed.

C-SPAN- Setup doesn’t really set me up for the punchline. Also (sorry) watch your homonyms. In this case it’s “their,” not “there.”

Animal cruelty- Frankly I thought the actual story was funnier than the joke.

Smoker- Good. Although I also think it’s funny that they cremated her. (But that’s why you included that detail, I’m sure.)

Britney- Again here, I think the actual story was funnier than the joke. And in this case the crudeness was unnecessary.

Drugs in coffins- Simple, but it did make me laugh.

Santa- Great concept, and pretty well executed. Starts out good, although I thought the Will Ferrell part was kind of unnecessary. Didn’t get the convenience store clerk thing, either. But otherwise, nice.

Scott Peterson- Snap! Thanks for not making a morbid joke. Kind of “aw, won’t we ever stop hearing references to OJ on SNL?” But hey, whatever works.

Day Without A Mexican- Not sure what you meant by Utah. But thanks for not making a racist joke. And thanks for telling me about this film, sounds like one I’d be interested in. Concept reminds me of “Day of Absence,” a satirical play where all the black people in a Southern town suddenly disappear, and the white folks (played by black actors in whiteface) try to cope.

bin Laden tape- Meh. Don’t really get the Wal-Mart part.

Jason Biggs- Okay. I guess I don’t know much about match.com.

Jay-C- Rape police? What? Gross, but I guess that’s the point.

Now to do my Christmas shopping...three days before Christmas...
