Jude Law SNY Review
By Jack Farrell

Hello everyone welcome to another one of my drag on SNY reviews, but first off here's a few of my picks of the week

TV Picks of the Week: Law and Order SVU, Law and Order, and Law and Order Low Carb

Movie Pick of the week: Saw (coming out Friday

DVD Pick of the week: Greg the Bunny the complete series (its the muppets gone dirty)

Sports Pick of the week: Sox over Cards

Book of the week: Green eggs and Ham

Also dont forget that Halloween is on a sunday this week as Jesus and the Pumpkins have it out in a battle royal!

Now onto the review

Cold Opening- "Gimme one good reason I shouldnt break the law? "Prison rape".

A very nice cold open here, I didnt get a whole bunch of the Nader stuff but the rest of the material gave me quite a chuckle though. The first cool sketch for this weeks very busy Mark Jennings Reese II. I also liked that Bush wasnt quite as stupid as he's been in some other sketches this year. Nice work MJR.

Monologue- "This motel is giving me a sense of deja vu oh wait I bring whores here."

This was a very funny monologue and my 2nd favorite sketch of the night. The general setup to the sketch took just the right amount of time to get started and the jokes just kept on coming in this sketch. It was too bad Ashlee couldnt get shot for real, it would have saved their band a lot of grief later in the night. Best sketch this season Jim:)

British Tenant- "The green ones make me horny."

This was my favorite sketch of the night. Everybody always think all British people are upper class and very suave, it was nice to see the true underbelly of the English folk. The only slight negative was that the sketch did go on just a tad too long, but it was my fav bit of the night, good work comedy bot DRG4.

O'Reilly Factor "Hey nice melons"

I only know a little bit about the whole O'Reilly thing thats going on so a few of the jokes didnt connect with me very well. Its almost always funny though to see someone talk to themselves and this was no exception. What jokes I got in this sketch did make me laugh, so overall not bad MJR and JP.

Weekend Update "MMM unexplainable bacon."

A very nice update here written by MJR, Patreek S. and myself, in case your wondering my stuff in WU is the beginning all the way up to the Ishmael sex scene, I had always wondered why the hell that guy says "Call me Ishmael." The rest of the jokes were very nice as well, my fav being "Frosted Flakes are not great, merely good" I was a bit lost on the Nadar Commentary but overall this WU was very well done, great job Team.

Breaking the Habit- "Sorry I didnt get their until after the sodomy"

Very funny concept here with this sketch. Thank god I never had to quit candy. Good setup here the only bad thing is that the sketch did go on a little bit long here although I loved the Care Bear bit as well. Keep up with the original sketches JP.

Waiting- "Oh the waiting game sucks lets play Hungry Hungry Hippos"

This sketch reminds me of a play I tried out for once called Bus Stop. This sketch kind of lost me a bit as to what was going on but I will give this sketch a thumbs up for originality I love to see that. Surprisingly enough according to SNL insiders their was a bus sketch apparently cut from the dress show so Jen is obviously a communist! Just kidding, keep on trucking Jen.

Rob Downey Torch song "Sling us a web your the Spiderman, sling us a web tonight..."

Its very hard to comment on a song that I cant here but I am afraid this one didnt gel with me much. In my head I had a hard time singing this song with the Billy Joel tune, but I still have to applaud you for even trying, song parodies are so freakin hard, find your inner Weird AL and you will be kicking ass in no time.

The Rivalry- "We can't beat them, their the Yankees."

Ah my 10 to 1 sketch, I originally planned this as a cold opener but found that it didnt really go long enough to warrant that and it was pretty brief. As for the character of the Old Man well that just came out of nowhere, I thought it was funny just to have an old man pop out of nowhere, this sketch is probably the weakest I've done since Trump Condoms but I promise my stuff will be back up to snuff with Kate Hudson, I got some big stuff

Well thats all for now, take it easy everyone and find the funny and force it out from its hiding place and make it follow your orders!

Jack
