Subject: Use of the word "fag"

The FCC definitely is cracking down, no question about that. But late night shows like SNL tend to get away with a little more than, say, awards shows. I know Tina said "fag" on WU (this was before the crackdown) because she was making a pun with "fag" as a British slang word (meaning cigarette) and the meaning it has in America.

It's probably something you want to avoid unless you have a good reason to use it. As far as the gay/gay rights community goes, some of them use it all the time, and some get really upset when it's used.

And I would agree with the limiting of special guests, especially old cast members...it's not something that happens often on the real show.
