Subject: Negativity...

There seems to be a lot of negativity that appears on this board come review time. I'm not saying I'm never a part or cause of it...but it seems to happen quite often. The reasons for it are obvious: people are touchy about their works, and want to be evaluated favorably. Therefore, if there's even the slightest disagreement with someone's assessment (euphemistic way of saying "opinion"), then a near-flame war is ignited. I think this may explain why certain people abstain at times from reviewing (including myself).

There is no immediate, clear-cut point to this post, except for to try to determine why we don't see as many reviews (or even sketch submissions) occasionally. Should something be done, or is this not even an issue?

Remember, folks...we're all basically in the same boat with respect to sketch writing: we're all amateurs, we submit here to have our unique voice heard, and we all do, in some ways, live and die with the reviews that appear on this board after a show is submitted. Let's try to keep that in mind.
