Everyone has made good points all around.

I would like to see all the writers post feedback on the other sketches, regardless of whether some writers have thin skin or not. We often regard this site as a writer's workshop, which means you have to be willing to open yourself to possible criticism. Keep in mind that we often remove ultra-negative comments made by people just trying to prove how much of an asshole they can be to everyone here. This means, if a sketch failed to live up to a reviewer's expectations, then simply explain where the writer fell short and make the suggestion in a way that will assist that writer in improving that sketch or later sketches. When several reviewers comment on the same part of the sketch, then odds are that part of the sketch just isn't working, even if the writer sees it as the best part of their sketch. Opinions differ - get used to it, get over it. If you can't take constructive criticism, then this isn't the outlet for you, simple as that. Any writers who think their sketches exist on a plain above negative criticism, might want to turn to another outlet to showcase their work, instead of submitting to what is basically an amateur site. I'm one of the few of us who actually anticipates bad reviews of their sketches, which is a pretty good way to avoid having your feelings hurt come review time!

Bottom line - let's have more reviews! Even the chat sessions barely focus on relevant site topics, such as organizing jokes for WU or discussing potential cold open/monologue ideas in the event that ones haven't been submitted by this part of the week. I assume we're a team, so no one should have any ill will towards possible negative criticism. We have good reviewers like JPIII and CCS who'll outline direct thoughts on sketches right down to key lines of dialogue. While reviewers who post nothing more than a letter grade for each sketch don't help anyone at all.

Remember: we're help to each other, not ourselves. It helps to receive feedback from one another, and then to use that feedback to your advantage.
