(He was unlucky enough to be stationed near the doctor, with a pretty intriguing view of what was going on down yonder.. so when she turned her eyes on him and told him not to get Haylie pregnant, he was in the sort of mood to agree with her.. for some reason he was just thinking that that part of Haylie's body wasn't supposed to be put through that sort of strain.) Hey, you just get that kid out and let me worry about Haylie.. (He teased back, laying a hand on her thigh lightly as she shook.) (He was a champ through most of the labor, holding her hand firmly and coaxing her to breath when she forgot to, always holding her gaze with his own. Since Kate was speaking to her, he didn't, but that didnt lessen the intensity in which he was there for her. His brown eyes were locked on hers as he took in what was going on.. when the contraction hit and the doctor told her to push, he could both see and sense that she was laboring too hard.. it was too much for her and it was making him frustrated. He shifted so that he was sitting at her side, his hands moving to her sides so that he could help take the strain off her back by letting her hold into him as though she were reaching up to hug him. As the next contraction hit, he suddenly felt aggravated with everything, seeing her straining and in so much pain that he couldnt even get her to look at him. He looked over his shoulder at the doctor and shot an annoyed look.) Whats going on?
