I think that the more into line that we can come with the rest of the world the better. It makes it difficult to adjust whe n you travel to aussie or international events.An error due to the fact that you just forgot the rule, that you just learnt the night before could mean the difference between first and second. If we want to compete with the likes of Austrailia we need to tighten our rules and play like the rest,so that we don't have to change our style for different competitions. Go with half a meter and leave it to the referee to interperate. As i study the ICF rules i do wonder to myself why we need to be different, as the differences mostly seem inconsequential to the game. I have to say that i feel individuals have wanted to leave their mark rather than changing rules to make the game better. That's just my opinion.
Maybe while you are at it you could maybe look at illegal possesion i think that you should be able to paddle with the ball under your arm and so does the rest of the world
