YOUR CHILD'S LIFE AND HEALTH IS AT STAKE - BY ACTIVITIES WORSE THAN SEXUAL ABUSE

The activity I am talking about is trade of organs and tissues - mostly from children.
And organ trade by private gangs is only the tip of an iceberg. There is an even more sinister organ trade going on by governmental hospitals and other official health institutions.
There is an International official network of organ exchange with official hospitals in each country as nodes in the netwerk that provide and resceive organs and tissue for transplantation, treatment and research, and with officially appointed coordinators at each site.
These coordinators work directly together with doctors responsible for treatment in the same hospitals or cooperating hospitals.
The function of this network is officially regulated by laws of each country. These laws genereally state that one shall only exchange organs from people having been decleared brain death.
But the demand for organs and tissue, and especially from children of young persons as donors, are many times higher than that which can be provided by persons being brain-dead after accidenst.
Many symptoms point to the fact that this network since long has gone corrupted due to the high demand and to the money exchanged for organs provided.
The corruption occurs by taking out undamaged organs from patients that have been injured in accidenst and selling these through the international network. When doing so they claim to the patient himself, his parents, his wife or relatives that the organ was damaged and had to be removed.
The corruption also occurs by declearing brain dead people that are not so, and using their organs for trade in the network. The corruption manifests itself with several symptoms any citizen can observe:
- Organs are taken out of a person after an accident that did not seem to injure exactly the place where the organ is situated.
- A stragely great persentage of accidents in a country or area result in removal of organs.
- A strangely great percentage of accidents of all kind end in death, despite the modern technical abilities to save persons after an accident.
- People in a given country are astounishingly often pronounced dead, even after accidents that do not involve greater part of the body.
- One have a routine of giving up the fight for the life of a person, and declares the person brain death, after very short time, usually 4-8 hours.
- Young persons that are supposed to have good chances of surviving an accident is surprizingly often decleared dead.
- Persons are often decleared brain death after accidents where the body, and even the head is largerly undamaged, when the person is without consciousness after the accident.
- Persons are routinously subjected to artificial coma after accidents, even when the person was conscious right after the accident, and after some hours decleared brain death.
- Parents, sposes and relatives are rutinously denied access to a person after accidents.
- Politicians in the country are actively demanding more organs from own citizens to be provided for donation.
I have for a long time observed these particularities in my own country, Norway, and I am concerned. Norway is a member of the international organ donation network. But since this network is international, the concern is valid for several coutries, surely.

If you plan to travel to Venezuela, it is advised that you use a lot of caution and try your best not to attract any attention when in the Venezuelan streets and locals. Do not carry fancy cell phones, do not carry any type of jewelry, and try to dress up as simple as you can.
Violence in Venezuela is extremely high. Some gangs actually kill people for no reason at all other than to prove / test new gang members.

CS Cover -- Lady of the Nite, 09:10:39 09/03/03 Wed
Ok. I have got to ask. The final cover they chose for CS is a woman's leg in heels with a rose tatoo. Personally I liked the "vagina flower spider" better, but who am I to criticize? On the other covers, i was able to easily figure out who the half naked woman was, but months later I am still baffled by this tatooed lady. I know it can't be this difficult, but it's just the little things like this that come out of nowhere (or so I think) that just bug the hell out of me. Who does this mysterious limb belong to?

I loaned my copy of Cerulean Sins to a friend, and I don't know when she'll be able to get it back to me since I'm back at school now, but I need the word for word description of the painting of Asher and Jean-Claude as Cupid and Psyche because I have another friend who is an art major and wants to do the painting for me in one of her classes. Just want to know your opinion of something I thought made sense. I have seen some nice renditions of Laurell's characters. JC and Anita by a couple of people.
They remind me of comic book art.
So there fore I thought wouldn't it be nice to see a comic book series of her books. Either in addition to the books or using what she already has in print. Something in comic format. That way we can see the characters.
I think that she should approve of it so that someone's artwork can be used and we can see it and enjoy it.
I still don't like the new cover art on her books.
Just something I wanted to know. How other people would see it. It seems like everyone else wants a film but I don't.
I ran it by another board and some people don't seem to agree.
She has spurned art work and fan fic. Even if she doesn't like it she should be flattered.It would have to have her approval anyway.

I am so disappointed in Cerulean Sins. I adore Laurell and the other books, but this was full of incomplete story lines that were not fully developed and I am bummed. Did she really need to jump into bed with everyone? I liked the sexual tension aspect of her and the thought of the others lusting after her, not her being a back alley sally. Sigh*maybe Laurell can make amends in the next book.

Don't know why I bother posting this email.
I only have one Blake fan or two that I talk to. One who does fan fic for you.
But any hoo. Just want to say that even though I have my own fantasies of Asher;partly because of Tamara and her fiction,and because I need someone.
At least we don't have to clone or do skittles.
I have been at a couple other web sites lately.
You guys are friends but there are only a few of you here.
The other boards have their people too.
But what bugs me is that so many subjects are overdone.
I can't stand arguing for eons about one stupid thing in the books.
I am anxiously awaiting CS also. But I can wait.
I don't want to know any more spoilers than what I read here.
There is a person at another website who has an ARC and is having chats now and then but all they do is hang their tongues out for more spoilers. I can't stand it. The last one I went to,presumably to meet more people,she was spouting sex line by line and I didn't hang around to find out who it was but have a good idea.
I mean the little I know has nearly ruined the book for me.
Course I did read the few chapters posted and Darlene is supposed to post a line or paragraph now and then but has been ill.
So I just wanted you to know that even though I outrank you guys in the age dept,I do keep up with stuff and I am going to check out the erotica you mentioned. How do you find it?
At the book store? I am reading some dumb romance that sounded like it might have enough juice.
Boy are we hooked or what.
I know some young fans who don't care for all the sex.
I still like the old Anita. I don't like going all over with dissecting the characters and their motives and trashing people like RAZ who interestingly enough,was suggested that he was a better role model in the behavioral field than Ms. Blake who is becoming slut girl.
But she still likes to protect the under dog.
Or were as it were. Hee hee.
I like that. A strong heroine but a kind and compassionate one.
Though as nice as some sex is,the ardeur is getting to be a bit much.
Does any one think that LKH has too much on her mind to write two series at once and keep them straight?
I know I have a hard time remembering half of what they discuss.
At least you guys aren't so adamant about it.

I don't know about you guys but I am about to have a mental meltdown waiting for Cerulean Sins to come out! Ebay had a couple of advanced copies signed my LKH but each one went for like over $500! Needless to say, I didn't get one of them. I started the Tanya Huff series but they just aren't doing it for me. I tried the Christine Freehan books but the girls are all so wimpy! Am I the only one dying here? April-hurry and get here already!!!!

I just finished reading Blackwood Farm by Anne Rice. It was pretty good. So are all of her books. Crosses over the Mayfairs with the Vamps. I sure wish Cerulean Sins was out. Or one of the fey series. Come on Laurell already.
Anyone else like Lucius Malfoy? I thought he would make a great relation for Asher. Or a good Vamp candidate.

Juste pour vous, mauvais Popsicle. Quelque chose un bit plus amusant qu'un manuel d'anatomie. Voici un extrait des Plaisirs Coupables:

Le lacet a renversé les mains pâles et long-digitées finies. La chemise a arrêté ouvert, donnant un aperçu du coffre nu maigre encadré par un lacet plus écumeux. La plupart des hommes ne pourraient pas avoir porté une chemise comme cela. Le vampire l'a faite sembler tout à fait masculine.

is it just me or was NiC horribly done? I don't mean character-wise...AB:VH charas are possibly my favorite ones of any fandom i belong to, but the plot was horrible...
i was expecting more than just a few cheap sex thrills...i was hoping for some resolutions to take place...something to develop other than Anita's supposively uncontrollable libido...
i thought that LKH took the easy way out by introduving Micah to rid herself of the excrutiatingly difficult plot development she had going on with Richard/Jean-Claude.
I don't give a rat's ass about the arduer...Anita is not that easy...she would have NOT submitted...I would have thought it much more plausible if she had resisted and would have had to be semi-rescued by one of her boys. Now, i am not pro-Richard, I dislike him with a passion, but i hated the manner in which he was seemingly eliminated.
and i miss the police work! some of the charas that I've grown to love have become two-dimensional cardboard cut-out version of themselves...Nathaniel, Jason, Damian...lord, even my beloved Asher...
for having waited so long for NiC...i was painfully dissapointed...I think/hope that Cerulean Sins redeems the series and brings back the excitement of the first 9 books.

It's been great knowing all you guys here in the Land of Happy Popsicles. I figured I'd go ahead and let you know that I will nolonger be online after the end of the year. Due to some personal issues I'm getting rid of the internet in my home. I WILL still be writing on my fanfic, however, and keeping in contact with Gigs via snail-mail...so the story will still get posted...it'll just have to take a little bit of a roundabout route to get there. I do hope to get at least one more chapter finished before I leave. And I will still take art commissions...those should be directed through my gallery manager, Kimmy (whose addie is available on my gallery page.)

Hey,
This is just to let everybody know that Kimmy and I are gonna be shutting down the current Steel Rose Gallery site. We're leaving topcities and hope to move over to Angelfire. Part of the reason for this is that I'm going offline permanently next Tuesday, and I couldn't figure out any other way to get topcities to stop billing me for the no-ads plan that I got for the site...since I'm not gonna be online to recieve billing notices anymore. Another reason is that due to a lightning fried cabel modem, Kimmy is having to rebuild the entire site anyway before any updates can be made. She'll e-mail all concerned parties that have links to the gallery with the new domain name and addie once it's up and running...which SHOULD be sometime early January. Hi everybody. I have been reading all the Anita Blake books over again because I can't stand the wait on the next book. Anyway, I've been wondering about Asher. Now I really, really like Asher but I can't figure out why he stayed in St.Louis. At the end of Burnt Offerings he stilled supposedly hated JC's guts. The books have said Asher is strong enough to a master vamp of the city but he stays with JC. Now in NIC there is a part where Anita and Richard are sharing power and Asher walks up and she says "The power recognized him, flared stronger, as if he could act as our third..." I know Asher seems to still love JC but what if Asher is either a plant by the council or maybe he wants Anita or JC's triumverate. So maybe I'm just paranoid that something bad is going to happen to JC but what do you guys think?

Before I tell everyone about my dream, I just want to thank fleur d'or for updating Beauty and the Vampire. And just in time for my birthday no less. I was thrilled. Now for my dream. Perhaps it was a bad idea to watch Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me each three times in two days. Also, I'm sure it was not a good idea to watch both of those movies and the the TV show Jackass while reading Narcissus in Chains during commercial breaks, eating cheezy poofs, and drinking vanilla coke right before going to bed at about 3 in the morning. Anyway, let's just say that the dream involved a sixties style bedroom with rotating bed, and Jean-Claude wearing Steve-O's leopard print bikini. When I woke up, I wasn't sure whether I should scream or have a laughing fit. It was the strangest dream I've ever had. So my question for everyone is am I alone with this weirdness or does anyone else ever have strange dreams of the Jean-Claude variety???

I was just at FanFiction.net, and I am severely disappointed. They have decided that stories with an NC-17 rating will no longer be accepted. I just can't believe it. I'm outraged. In fact, I am so angry that I will no longer be going to the site. I'm lucky that Julia posts her stories here as well, at least I can still read them here. But I have no idea where to go to read Grace's Vampire Chronicles fanfic. And she had just started a sequel to one of my favorite stories by her. I'm just so upset it's not even funny. Stupid FanFiction.net people just suck.

Just a heads up. My next chapter is in the works and should be completed by the end of the week (I hope). However, I thought I better go ahead and give a warning now. I know some of my past stuff has been pretty steamy and well into the NC-17 range. This next chapter, which will be titled In a Fog, But Tomorrow We'll See, will probably venture even further and enter the XXX range. I say that because it will be dealing not just with sex, but a type of sex that many may find offensive...rape. And before anyone thinks that I take this subject lightly or am belittling it by including it in a fanfiction, let me say that, as a real life survivor of rape (when I was 12, no less), I have a RIGHT to write about the subject.
If anyone feels they might be offended by this, please do not read this chapter.

This is just a note to all those people that love to play ion aworld like Anita's
I have run an email RPg for over 3 years and this is the advertisement for it's latest face lift.
Basically we are now shying away from the book characters jumpi9ng ahead 4 years into the future and moving to NYC, well I know that sounds like alot of change but it sure as hell beats waiting for my Anita or JC to wake up and send out an email in orde to keep the game going :P

Bad Popsicle, it has been brought to my attention by ma rose d'acier that ma fleur d'or sent you a copy of a charming story she wrote about an exchange of Christmas gifts between Jean-Claude and Anita. I was rather distressed that it did not make it onto this site during your last update. Was this just an oversight, or did you think perhaps that it would have been more appropriate to save posting the story until the holiday season?

gigs-you're right, i did miss alot of parody opportunities. he he. but it wasn't supposed to be a parody of too terribly monstrous proportions. anita's out of character, and maybe even jc, but the story started out in my head to focus on jc. and yeah, you are rough on the boys, but that's totally cool. someone's gotta whip their hot little hineys in shape, right? lol.
asher-and as far as demon lover, i don't know why the last part's repeated twice. just a typo. no big deal. and there will be more soon. mon bon homme, of course there is more! i hope to finish the story within the next few weeks.

Here's me wondering again... lol. Question is did you love or hate NiC? From most of the people I've talked to they either really loved it (okay okay... only a couple of people said that) or really hated it.
Personally I didn't like how Micah just appeared out of no where. Actually he has no point. I mean all Anita needs is another guy coming along that has the hots for her. And it looks as though Micah is more interested in her powers than her... *ehem* I think it's time for Anita to totally commit to Jean Claude... either that or she should send him on up to Canada for me. Hey, if she isn't going to have him then someone should. Besides I'm pretty sure that I could keep Jean Claude's borrowed blood warm on those oh so cold Canadian nights...

Topcities has suspended the gallery site, citing that it has exceeded it's bandwidth usage. Kimmy and I are currently looking at ways to either circumvent that problem or possibly moving the gallery to another server. As soon as we have come up with and executed a viable solution, we'll let everybody know.
I had been getting more stuff together to ADD to the gallery, too. Needless to say, Asher was cussing a blue streak in French when we found out yesterday.

This is awesome. Usually I don't care for stories that take the original books out of context of the characters OOC, but I must say you keep this series riveting and your skills as a story teller are phenomenal!
I can just see Anita standing there looking Asher in the eye for the first time just before she busts out into laughter at Belle. "Let me get this straight. One half-demon, half-vamp with his ardeur open full throttle can't lay me out...dumps me on the council to see if ya'll can do better...and the best you can do is have my boyfriend's EX-boyfriend try to convince me I'd prefer a demon's attentions to JC's? SOMEBODY write that down for posterity...that's gotta be classic!" to which Julia jumps right in. OK...I will!
Can't wait to see your next segment.
BTW...thanks for visiting my story. I appreciated the comments. I know I tend to be rough with JC and the boys...I don't necessarily worship the ground they walk on...(ok, so I DO worship the ground Asher walks on, but don't tell him...he'll get a big head...or is that popcicle?) I like the boys because they're bad in the best way. Never know from minute to minute if they're friend or foe. So, that's how I portray them.

I'm sorry for posting this here if its supposed to go somewhere else. I just didn't see anything for author reviews.
Julia...I loved your idea. It was tres cute.
However my darling...in your eagerness to get Anita and JC into the sack, you missed out on SO many golden opportunites that would have made your parody hilarious.
For instance,
Maurice goes running through the darkening woods with a bunch of the biggest a** wolves he's EVER seen chasing after him and runs "SMACK" into an iron gate above which is a sign in red flourscent lights with gargolyes all around that reads: Castle of the Damned. Now you stare at these gargolyes and they have fangs as any good gargolye should...but you almost think they might be painted in clown make-up.
Anita packing her Browning to go looking for her father...and as she roams through the castle she flanks each door, Browning out, like in any good cop flick.
When she says she'll stay forever in Maurice's place, her beeper goes off and she gets called away to a crime scene by Dolph. "Oops, gotta go!"
And there are SO many others to tickle the funny bone.
Still I loved presenting the armory instead of the library...and Micah as Le Fou was a stroke of genius!
Should have had Dead Dave tending bar at the "Lunatic" hunting lodge...with the waitresses: Gretchen, Gretchen, and Gretchen.
Still, all in all, an excellent effort.
