Subject: I personally think that everyone is always wanting their favorite to win. When someone is crowned whether they deserved it or not, no one's going to be happy. So instead of dwell on how a competition is fixed or not, we should all just support our delegate and give her the advice she needs to succeed in the competition. I think support from people, is what every country lacks when it comes to beauty pageants...and that is the biggest downfall of a delegate not doing well in her competition. She reads posts on different message boads, bashing her, and that could either enforce her to prove her detractors wrong, or take it personally and not be focused. Whatever the case is, I too, think Sam will be a wonderful rep with some few helpful tips on make up, and the way she carries herself!

I agree, but that being said, each girl should definitely go into the mindset that if you win, there are always going to be people against you. In my case, it would be your own family! There are always going to be people who won't like you and won't support you. If you can't take that, then you really don't have the confidence to be that strong of a role model in the first place, and you shouldn't win. Confidence comes from allowing people (however crude) to say whatever they want because you're positive about yourself and you know and are true to who you are deep down. Otherwise, don't play with fire if you can't take the heat. (NT)#218:07:37 05/05/08 Mon
