Subject: Genuine question...In what way do you think the new school did not live up to your expectations? and what did you realise that the old teacher was doing right after moving ( I am guesing that before moving you thought it wasn't what you thought you needed). As you said....

you did your research and still ended up not getting what you were hoping for.

It is very hard and I feel for you. I know there is a school in our area that comes across as being amazing, they have good team spirit, the dancers love their teacher who is very out there and can really talk the talk. But the results don't reflect the enthusiasm if that makes sense. A school can talk themselves up and cheer each other on about how amazing they are, but if the results don't follow, I guess you have to ask yourself, do you want the warm fuzzies or do you want the results? Unfortunately expected results don't often come from being told how amazing you are when you're not.

Unfortunately having a good memory and being able to answer multiple questions about timing and name that tune and which gentlemans shoulder passes on the right in a random ceili dance that you will never perform in order to pass an exam, does not in many cases also make you a good teacher.
