Judging is subjective, if your child is winning a few competitions in a row it shows that a different adjudicators that like his/her dance style. Mean words are hurtful. You can encourage your child to ignore the comments by not responding or by saying something such as ‘that’s not very nice’.
If it happens regularly you should speak to your teacher and email AIDA.
