  • Every year this topic arises and the same people defend it under the guise of 'my kids get excited, the school wants to update families' etc. The reality is, the saturation of social media with promotional posts is an attempt to influence judging. What other purpose is there to posting 5 plus 'throwbacks' of a tiny competition a dancer won, all conveniently in the week before states. It wreaks of desperation. Importantly, when states are judged by domestic adjudicators who are active on social media, privately or via schools pages, there is a huge ability to influence their decisions. • Influence judging? Give me a break. my daughter has been dancing for 10 years now and the adjudicators seem to get the top 5 right at all majors we’ve been to. When someone works hard and improves dramatically with their results it’s automatically assumed rigged. (NT) -- Give some credit to the adjudicators morals., Sat, Aug 10 2019, 10:19:16"
