  • If your family is not interested in participating in the state championships this year, then don’t. But I don’t see why your preference to step back from competing should mean that everyone else should miss out too. If AIDA branches organise a championship it gives people the option to participate. If some families see summer sports or other end of year activities as more important, that’s okay. But for some families, Irish dancing is their only sport.
