Reading the post below about "glory over allegiance" got me thinking. I don't know the story described below but this negativity over dancers changing schools always fascinated me.

People change who they do business with all the time and yet in dancing, it is considered a crime. Any student can change schools for better results, not dancing schools, but every day school. I took my own child out of their daily school because I wasn't happy with it, so what? We moved on, no-one posted about it on social media, putting me down for wanting something different and hopefully better for my child.

It's a free country to do as people see best for themselves and their child. Who cares if someone leaves? If they are not happy, would you force them to stay? Yes, I know all of the excuses about a teacher taking a child from beginner to opens etc but still, a 5 year old is not the same person at 15 or 16, do you still go to all of the same businesses your mother took you as a 5 year old? Same hairdresser, same dentist/doctor/plumber? Are you still best friends with your classmates from kindergarten? Most likely no, so what's the problem? Stop the negativity please and let people make the best choices for themselves, choices that don't even affect you, yet you feel you have a right to post about them on a public board. Schools don't own dancers, dancers pay for a service and can move if they want to and their reason doesn't matter, end of story.
