As a dancer from WA, who has competed at every nationals since 2006, we have had to pay this expense every single year up until covid. It’s nice for us to have our turn as well when it comes to not having to book flights and accom.
Yes, it is obviously our choice to do this but unfortunately you won’t be getting any sympathy from people with a post like this. When it’s also your own choice to compete.
Nationals hasn’t been in Perth for 9 or 10 years. (It would have been 7 years if covid hadn’t of caused lockdowns, etc)
Im not trying to be rude, just reminding you that this is probably going to be a 1 time thing you are having to do for at least another 7 years, whereas like I said, Perth dancers have to do this every year, sometimes multiple times through out the year for different comps as most of them are in the eastern states.
