Nationals 2023 is going to be very expensive for those travelling outside of Sydney. Accommodation at that time of the year is double that of Perth, if you can even find somewhere close to the venue. AIDA don’t seem to take this into consideration when booking these venues. Numbers will be down due to the extreme increase in the cost of living. Families will need to cut back and if you’re not in the top dancers it’s a lot of money to not even get to dance all three dances. You add a corruption/code of conduct breech, rebuilding from a pandemic, subjective adjudicators, etc. and the sport will be in trouble
