Apparently the other school (O’Grady Quinlan I think) made a now-deleted IG post about the merger. That school is in AnCom school.

I have no connections to The Academy so no idea if it is true or which org a merged school would be in. I don’t think they can be in both. Ed and Byron are judging NAIDC so apparently they are not the pariahs to CLRG despite the cheating scandal. But, they could be on the outs with the Mid America regional org and want to go somewhere where they aren’t on the outs.

They used to host a feis in January but the cheating scandal ended that. Everyone suspected the corruption and once it was confirmed I think everyone in midAmerica was done with them. I don’t think they judge and feis these days as no one wants to support a feis that would hire them.

I think it would be hard to explain to parents why the school is switching orgs, but Ed and Byron seem to have the parents convinced we are all just jealous and our dancers just need to work harder so they might be an easy sell.

The Academy has some truly amazing dancers and the dancers in my dd’s age group seem to deserve the placements they get, so I am not dumping on the dancers.
