Subject: If you move schools, she won't be able to compete for 6 months, so no states or Nationals this year. If your school is well known/connected you may also find that unless she moves to a more "important" school, she will no longer place well despite possibly dancing better if you know what I mean. Another suggestion inside..

If the teacher would allow it, is there a senior dancer at the school who does very well who might be able to work with your daughter perfecting steps? With teachers blessing, my daughter used to do this. Failing this, is your daughter just going through her dances at home or is she breaking down the steps and working on them individually, over and over until they are each perfect?

  • Are they a large school that gets amazing results? If yes, then some of the top dancers are probably getting privates and you don't know about it (NT) -- Lots of secrecy around privates, Wed, Jun 04 2025, 14:42:11"
