The AIO has now been running for over 10 years, and is not attracting many OS competitors (other than NZ) as it was originally intended. It has not built up over time. Perhaps another option would be allowing OS competitors at the Australian Championships, but awarding them with invitational medals rather than taking up our national placings. That happens in other sports, however CLRG rules may prevent that option.
