If your family is not interested in participating in the state championships this year, then don’t. But I don’t see why your preference to step back from competing should mean that everyone else should miss out too. If AIDA branches organise a championship it gives people the option to participate. If some families see summer sports or other end of year activities as more important, that’s okay. But for some families, Irish dancing is their only sport. - Yes I agree the championships are needed after the year we have had . Gives the children hope and something to work towards after having worlds and nationals cancelled . But a date of maybe when this would be on would be great for all . (NT) -- Dd, Wed, Jun 03 2020, 14:32:07"
  - Our teacher has said possibly term 4, they can't give a date yet though as they can't really plan anything until the restrictions are either lifted or loosened enough for a larger event.
