Anyone travelling to the ACT from Victoria or a Sydney hotspot has to self-isolate for 14 days. They also have to notify ACT Health.

Those self-isolating can expect a random visit from ACT Policing, starting with a phone call when they arrive at the property.

At commercial accommodation, police will buzz the door and have a chat, then ask you to wave from a balcony or window to verify you're inside.

At private homes, after a phone call, police will ask you to come to a window and present identification.
